Things I never knew or that I forgot….

I am watching 20/20 and it has prompted me to seek interesting facts. You may already know this, some I did, and some I did not.

1. There are 100 Senators – 2 per state
   
2. Social Security Card:

• The first three numbers show what part of the country you applied from.
• The next two numbers show, in coded form, the year you applied.
• The last four numbers indicate your citizen's number kept on file by the government.

     3. Apples are more efficient than coffee at keeping people awake in the morning.

    4.  At least 14 countries and 4 seas border China . Since the country is so large, climate is extremely varied – it is sub arctic in the North and Tropical in the South.

   5.  In Hong Kong , cars are driven to the left side of the road, following the British way, but the rest of China drives on the right side.

  6.  No Republican has ever won a presidential election without carrying the State of Ohio.

7. Franklin D. Roosevelt (President #32) was related in some way to 11 former U.S. Presidents.
